here is additional information about wei

Born to an architect father and an restaurateur mother in Taiwan, Wei took a great interest in arts and design at an early age. Resourceful and style-oriented by nature, she was six when she made her first craft, a clay bunny. Long before she reached the teenage years, she picked up drawing, for which she won several national awards, as well as writing and singing.

After graduating from a prestigious arts and design academy in Taipei, she immigrated to the United States, obtained a degree from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and has since been working for a number of graphic-design and marketing firms, as well as for one of the nation's largest furniture manufacturers and retailers.

Wei also teaches at several colleges, educating future design professionals, and enjoys creating customized favors for themed weddings and events. Her work was featured in Instyle Weddings magazines in 2009, photographed by Generation Photography, and in various design blogs.

Wei has a passion for design that pushes her to always try and learn something new. She loves what she does and in the end she hopes her work shows that.

Schoolcraft defined Difference Makers as those who have made an impact on Schoolcraft College; and those, by virtue of their relationship to Schoolcraft College, who have had a significant impact on their community, professionally or personally.
